The customer had an unused basement space that he wanted to transform into a high-quality home cinema, creating an entertainment hub for the entire family to enjoy. With no fixed vision in mind, he relied on our expertise to guide him through the possibilities. This allowed us to tailor the design precisely to his needs, ensuring the final setup aligned perfectly with his lifestyle, preferences, and space constraints.
From screen size and speaker placement to lighting and seating, every element was carefully considered to deliver an immersive cinematic experience customized just for him and his family.
In summary
Given the dimensions of the basement and the structural constraints of the walls, we determined that a 5.1.4 Dolby Atmos surround sound system would be the ideal choice, providing an immersive audio experience tailored to the space. This setup ensured rich, dynamic sound with overhead audio effects that enhanced the cinematic atmosphere without compromising the room’s layout.
In addition to superior sound, the customer wanted a visually striking finish that also improved acoustics. To achieve this, we installed a bespoke acoustic fabric system with integrated LED lighting. This not only enhanced sound clarity by reducing unwanted reflections but also added a sleek, customizable design element that elevated the overall ambiance of the cinema.
To optimize the front soundstage, we constructed a custom-built stud wall to house the in-wall speakers, ensuring clean integration and optimal placement. A fixed acoustic pass-through screen was then installed, allowing sound to flow naturally from the action appearing on the screen.
The result was a beautifully designed, high-performance home cinema that exceeded the customer’s expectations. He was absolutely thrilled with the transformation, now able to enjoy a fully immersive and luxurious movie-watching experience in his own home.
